This recent painting develops the ideas of geometry versus organic form- I like the tensions of both within one painted surface. I use the idea of sky as 'above' as in young childrens' paintings- although this sky is green. And ground as 'below'. Except that this ploughed ground is also to the side. This is, in the end, a landscape, or an imagined detail of a landscape at least. With an intense teal ground- one of my absolutely favourite sufaces on which to float forms.
